Meet Matt

Hi, I’m Matt — a UK HGV driver and the person behind Trucker Matt UK.

I’ve spent my HGV working life behind the wheel, delivering loads and experiencing the highs, lows and everything in between that comes with being an HGV driver in the UK.

Trucker Matt UK started from my passion for trucks and my desire to show people what life is really like behind the wheel of an HGV.

From early starts and motorway miles to challenging building site deliveries, Moffett work and life on the road, there’s always something happening.

As a UK HGV driver, I spend my working days delivering materials to building sites across the UK, dealing with everything from tight residential roads to challenging site access.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s really like to be a UK HGV driver, this website gives you a genuine look at the job from my perspective.

🚛 Life as a UK HGV Driver

Being an HGV driver isn’t simply about driving from A to B.

Every day can be different. One day I’m travelling across the country, the next I’m manoeuvring onto a tight building site or dealing with the challenges that come with delivering materials safely and efficiently.

That’s the side of HGV driving I want to share.

Through Trucker Matt UK, I give people a genuine look at the everyday reality of working as a UK HGV driver — the jobs, the journeys, the challenges and the moments that make the job worthwhile. 🏗️ Building Site Deliveries

A big part of my work involves delivering materials to building sites, and these deliveries can be very different from a typical HGV delivery.

Tight access, difficult roads, restricted spaces and challenging unloading areas can all make a delivery interesting.

With the equipment I use, including a brick grab crane and Moffett forklift, there’s plenty going on behind the scenes that people might not normally get to see.

That’s why building-site deliveries have become such a big part of my content.

One of the things I enjoy most about my work is the equipment involved in making deliveries possible.

From operating a Moffett forklift to unloading materials with a brick grab crane, there’s much more to the job than simply driving the truck.

I’ve recently taken on Moffett work, giving me a whole new side of HGV driving to share through my videos.

I started Trucker Matt UK to share my experiences and give people an honest look at life as a UK HGV driver.

There are plenty of videos online about trucks, but I wanted to show the job from my perspective — exactly as I experience it.

Some days are straightforward.

Some days are challenging.

This website gives you a genuine look at life as a UK HGV driver, including my deliveries, experiences and life on the road.

And sometimes something completely unexpected happens.

That’s what makes trucking interesting.
